Day 1 Arrival in Delhi
The tour begins with your arrival on Delhi International Airport, met at the airport you will be taken to the reserved hotel in Delhi. Relax after reaching in the hotel and spend the time as per your wish.
Day 2 Excursion in Delhi
Enjoy delicious breakfast in the morning and proceed to explore the monument in Delhi. The monuments in Delhi are located in areas that are divided into Old and New Delhi. Visit to Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb and Raj Ghat will bring you closer to the historical Delhi. Then visit to the Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple and India Gate via drive past Parliament House and President’s House. Overnight rest in the hotel.
Day 3 Transfer to Varanasi (by flight)
Early morning transfer to airport to board flight to Varanasi, the next destination. The holy city of Varanasi is very startling at first sight but as you spend some time here you will start feeling spiritual and gratified. On reaching Varanasi check into the hotel and relax for some time. Your excursion in Varanasi will begin from Kashi Vishwanath temple and then you will visit the famous Nepali Temple and the Tulasi Manas Temple. In the evening attend the Ganga Aarti famous Dashashwamedh Ghat and then return to the hotel for relaxing overnight.
Day 4 Transfer to Khajuraho
Early morning enjoy a boat ride in River Ganga and watch the ghats of Varanasi or Banaras. Then after breakfast board flight for transfer to Khajuraho, on reaching here check in to the hotel and relax. In the evening enjoy some shopping. Overnight stay in hotel in Khajuraho.
Day 5 Transfer to Agra via Jhansi (180 kms & overnight train)
In the morning have breakfast and then visit the famous World Heritage Site of Khajuraho Group of monuments. These are known for the massive temples which are intricately built with sensual sculptures on most of them. The names of a few are Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Duladeo Temple, Devi Jagdambi Temple, Lakshmana Temple, Vamana Temple, etc. Afternoon train to Jhansi, on reaching Jhansi in the evening board train for the next destination of the North to South India Tour Package that is Agra.
Day 6 Excursion in Agra
Reach early morning in Agra. Check in the hotel and get a little rest. The day tour begins with the visit to Itmad-ud-Daulah, the tomb of grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal. Then visit at the World Heritage Site Agra Fort. The fort is known to have been built in the 11th century AD, but the present structure was built by the Mughals in the 15th century. In the Agra Fort, visit the famous monuments inside the complex which shows the artistry of the talented artists and designers of that time. Then visit the heavenly Taj Mahal, the most admired Mughal architecture monument throughout the world. Stay and relax in the hotel at night in Agra.
Day 7 Transfer to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (240 kms)
Early morning visit to Mehtab Bagh for a memorable view of Taj Mahal at sunrise. Followed by breakfast, travel to the next destination, in the company of the representative of Elefantastic Travel, drive to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. On the way to Jaipur visit the abandoned town of Fatehpur Sikri. Here visit the centuries old Fatehpur Sikri Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue drive to Jaipur after the exploration. On reaching check in and get ready for a traditional evening in Choki Dhani.
Day 8 Excursion in Jaipur
Morning in the Pink City, enjoy a delicious breakfast and get ready to explore this culturally beautiful and colorful city. In Jaipur you will visit the Amer Fort, have a drive past Jal Mahal and Hawa Mahal, then visit the City Palace of Jaipur followed by Birla Temple and the Albert Hall Museum visit in the evening.
Day 9 Transfer to Udaipur (400 kms)
On this day you will proceed to one of the most exotic tourist locations of North India, Udaipur. Drive to the City of Lakes and reach here in the evening. After check in spend the time in leisure activities.
Day 10 Excursion in Udaipur
After a good sleep at night explore this breath taking City. The places to visit include the City Palace Udaipur, Lake Palace where have a view of Jag Mandir, Fateh Sagar Lake and Lake Pichhola in the evening. Then in evening visit Shilpgram, the live cultural museum where you will watch the local arts and crafts of Rajasthan. Return back to hotel for night’s stay.
Day 11 Transfer to Mumbai
After breakfast transfer to the Airport to board the flight to Mumbai. The destination is located in Western India; it is also called the Financial Capital of India. Mumbai was a favored city by the East India Company because of its location near the Arabian Sea, it was a very crucial trade route to India. On reaching Mumbai, transfer to the hotel and relax, spending the time at your discretion.
Day 12 Excursion in Mumbai
Well, Good Morning! After a good night’s sleep and delicious breakfast, start the One Day Tour in Mumbai. Visit the Gateway of India, Prince of Whales Museum, Rajabai Clock Tower, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus a World Heritage Site and the magnificent building of Brihan Mumbai Corporation. All these amazing monuments were built during the British Colonial Rule in India and now have become the identity of Mumbai.
Day 13 Transfer to Goa (by flight)
After exploring Mumbai the tour will move forward to the ‘Rome of the East’, Goa. One of the coolest states in India, Goa is all about beaches, nightlife, outdoor parties and tourists. On reaching Goa, get some rest and in the evening get ready for an exciting night in Goa. Head to any disc of your choice for a cool beach party where you can make new friends.
Day 14 Excursion in Goa
In Goa, we will take you to the following places- Fort Aguada (the water fort built by Portuguese), St. Xavier’s Church, Shantadurga Temple, Calangute Beach, Baga Beach, Palolem Beach in South Goa and other beaches. You can select the beaches according to your interest as there are a number of beaches in Goa where you can enjoy Water sport activities, sun bathing, shopping, swimming, playing with the penguins and much more.
Day 15 Transfer to Bangalore (by flight)
Early in the morning board flight to Bangalore, with your arrival in Bangalore, the first destination among the South destinations of the North to South India Tour Package. Get fresh in the hotel on reaching Bangalore and start exploring the ‘Silicon City of India’. Here you will visit the famous Bangalore Palace built in 1944, then visit Isckon Temple and Nandi Temple followed by gorgeous gardens and glasshouse of Lal Bagh.
Day 16 Transfer to Mysore (147 kms)
Early morning transfer to Mysore. The ‘City of Palaces’ is home to some of the most beautiful palaces of the world. In Mysore you will visit the Mysore Palace; the Indo-Saracenic Palace is the palace of the Wodeyars, the royal family of Mysore. Also visit the Folklore Museum and Jagmohan Palace; the 1861 built palace also belongs to the Wodeyars. Mysore palace looks stunning in the evening when it is lit by a thousand lights, it looks heavenly. Night stay in the hotel.
Day 17 Transfer to Ooty (126 kms)
After breakfast visit the Brindavan Garden of Mysore, the gardens are located at the Krishnarajasangara Dam which is built over the Kaveri River. Afternoon transfer to the next destination of the tour i.e. Ooty. Spend the evening in leisure, explore the markets of Ooty and take a walk.
Day 18 Excursion in Ooty
Ooty in Tamilnadu is probably the most beautiful hill station and is known as the ‘Queen of Hill stations’ in India. It comes under Nilgiri Biosphere which has amazing valleys, hills and diverse wildlife and hence many areas in Ooty are protected. Traverse in Ooty and enjoy some of the greenest and energizing views you have ever seen. There are various places in Ooty for the nature lovers. Visit the Emerald Lake, Stone House, Government Botanical Garden spread in an area of 55 acres and the Government Rose Garden with over 20, 000 varieties of roses. After visit to all these amazing places relax in the hotel.
Day 19 Transfer to Cochin (300 kms)
Transfer from Ooty to Cochin. Situated by the Arabian Sea, it is also called the ‘Queen of Arabian Sea’. Reach and rest in Kochi/ Cochin.
Day 20 Excursion in Cochin
In Cochin you will visit the Mattancherry Palace built in 1557 by the Portuguese, then visit the Jewish Synagogue and stroll in the local spice market in the Jew Town. During dusk visit the appealing sight of the Chinese Fishing Nets which are used by the local fishermen. Take rest at night in the hotel in Cochin.
Day 21 Transfer to Chennai (695 kms) (by flight)
Enjoy a good sleep at night and then board flight for Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu state early in the morning. In Chennai there are multiple places which you will explore according to your interest. On this day you will visit the towns of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. Mahabalipuram is largely visited by tourists every year due to the famous 8th century Shore Temple, built with the huge granite stones, it is a complex of three temples overlooking the Bay of Bengal. Visit the famous archaic temple of Varadharaja Perumal Temple and Kanchi Kailasanthar in Kanchipuram and do not forget to shop for the famous Kanchipuram Sarees.
Day 22 Excursion in Chennai
The 22nd day of the North to South India Tour will be spent in exploring the city of Chennai. Visit to the following places will be scheduled- Fort St. George, San Thome Basilica, Government Museum, Ripon Building (Neoclassical architecture), Kapaleeswarar and Parthasarthy Temple.
Day 23 Departure from Chennai
The day concludes your tour with Elefantastic Travel and we will transfer you to the International Airport in Chennai so that you can board your flight on time. The tour ends with the lovely memories of the traveling experience in India exploring different states and cities.
